You can measure both negative and positive ions simultaneously, or either negative or positive ions only.
The precisely designed and adjusted Japanese Gerdien capacitor detector provides highly accurate ion measurement.
Continuous measurement is possible in all measurement modes.
It conforms to the "JIS B 9929 Standard for measuring methods of airborne ion density" which rigorously defines the methodology to measure ion density.
The ion count, temperature and humidity are displayed on the LCD.
It measures a wide range of ion counts from 0-5,000,000 (pcs/cc), which is far greater than other ion counters.
The specially designed software, which comes with the counter, enables you to remotely control it. You can save and print out files, which contain ion count/waveform data, from your PC. This software is compatible with Windows 95 - 10 English/Korean/Chinese/Japanese versions.
Measured ion data can be saved in the built-in memory, printed out on a thermal printer or displayed on the software screen.

Measures both negative and positive ions simultaneously with high accuracy

While there are many ion counters which measure either negative or positive ions, there are very few products that can measure both negative and positive ions simultaneously with high accuracy.

The COM-3800 works in 3 measurement modes.

1. Positive/Negative ions simultaneously
2. Negative ions only
3. Positive ions only

Highly accurate ion measurement made possible by the dual detectors

Detectors with high accuracy are required for simultaneous positive and negative ion measurement as they handle the faint electricity. Each detector has to work under the exact same condition.
The state of the art detector, which employs the Japanese Gerdien capacitor, is precisely designed, manufactured and adjusted with years of experience in order to provide highly accurate simultaneous positive and negative ion measurement.

Conforms to the JIS standard
It conforms to the "JIS B 9929 Standard for measuring methods of airborne ion density" which rigorously defines the methodology to measure ion density.

Built-in memory
Measured ion data and temperature/humidity/date information can be saved in the built-in memory. It is great for outdoor use as you do not need to take your PC with you. The ion data collection interval can be set to 1/2/3/4/5/10/15/20/30/60 minutes, and up to 900 data records can be saved in the memory.
The saved data can be:

1. displayed on the LCD
2. printed out on a thermal printer
3. displayed on the software screen with graphs

Super wide range
This air ion counter measures ion counts from 0-5,000,000 (pcs/cc), which is far greater than other ion counters.

Wide range of input voltage
It runs on single phase 100-240VAC.

Easy to carry around

You can carry around the compact and lightweight body which weights only 4.5kg.

Specially designed software
Using the specially designed software, which comes with the counter, you can remotely control it via RS-232C, USB or LAN.

Switch to turn off the air suction fans
This product has two built-in air suction fans for positive and negative ion measurement. You can turn off both or either of them to save power and prevent an unnecessary load to them. Fans built into air suction type air ion counters generally consume a lot of power.

Data output
The ion count data can be printed out on a thermal printer.

Can open and print out files which contain ion count/waveform data
The specially designed software installed on your PC enables you to open and print out files which contain the following data. It will help you to make a report. Great for making a report!

· Ion waveforms
· Maximum/Minimum/Average ion count
· Date/Temperature/Humidity

Data saved in the built-in memory
Using the specially designed software, measured ion data stored in the built-in memory can be:

1. displayed in graph format
2. saved in BMP format which contains the graph
3. printed out along with the ion count data, graph, temperature, humidity, date

Remote control
You can remotely control the ion counter from your PC.

Compatible with many languages
The specially designed software is compatible with Windows 95 - 10 English/Korean/Chinese/Japanese versions.

Data collection time
The data collection time per page can be set to 15/30/60 minutes.

Automatic saving/Continuous measurement
Data is automatically saved after every measurement cycle is completed and then the counter starts the next measurement cycle. Thus, you can continue to observe ion data for many hours.

Opening the file
You can open the saved txt file at any time.

File combination
Up to 96 saved files can be combined and saved as one csv file at a time.
